While Bollywood celebrities are really popular in movies, not a lot of them venture out into the world of TV. However, there are a few celebrities who have gone ahead to do a lot of good TV shows, that are critically acclaimed as well. Here is a list of a few Bollywood actors who have made it big in the field of television as well:
1.Amitabh Bachchan: He was one of the first to go into the world of TV. He did it because he was in need for money, but he ended up with one of the most memorable performances. He won over millions of hearts by hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, one of the best TV shows ever showed on the prime slot in Star. He also happens to be the most appreciated hosts of a TV show.
2. Farhan Akhtar: His show, “Oye it’s Friday” is one of the funniest and most entertaining shows on TV. It is well thought out, well scripted and amazing on the whole. Farhan Akhtar’s funny, goofy character also adds a lot to this show. The premise of the show itself is new and millions of people are already hooked on to it!
3. Salman Khan: This Khan hosted the reality TV show Bigg Boss, which was a hit in the TV world. He brought a strong personality to the picture through this show, where he made silly jokes, yelled at the inmates and even asked really shocking questions. But, hey, he was probably the best suited person for hosting a show like Bigg Boss!
4. Priyanka Chopra: This lass has made her small screen debut by going against the characters she has portrayed so far. The beauty queen has certainly wowed people with her stunts in Khatron Ke Khiladi, season 3. She really did kick some butt in the show, which happens to be one of the most watched seasons of Khatron ke Khiladi till date. We certainly expect some more stunts and more TV shows of Priyanka!

He came back into the world of television by hosting the quiz game Kaun Banega Crorepati. He bought the warmth of his character, innate charm and sense of humour to the TV as well. He also hosted another quiz show- Kya Aap Panchvi Pass se Tez Hain”. The show did not last too long, but it did charm the audience for as long as it was on.
