Top 10 Bollywood movies of 2014

Bollywood has delivered numerous hits this year. Lets see which are the lucky ones to make it to the top 10:

1. Kick: Starring Jaqueline and Salman, the action thriller broke several box office records and became the second highest grossing film with 233 crores. The drama was full of energy, just like the title tells us, and Jacky’s charming role was loved along with Sallu’s high voltage action.

2. Happy New Year: It was a lovely Diwali surprise and made the festive season even more delightful with its lovely comedy and the rocking SRK-Deepika jodi. It went on to earn a whopping 203 crores and even won Farah, Deepika and SRK awards at Stardust 2014.

3. Bang Bang!: With a gross collection of 181 crores,  this movie impressed us with the ravishing performance from Katrina and Hrithik’s power packed action. The F-1 racing and amazing stunts make it definitely worth the top 10.

4. Singham Returns: It made headlines regarding religious controversies, but did very well nonetheless. Though the comedy was not much praised, Ajay Devgan’s action and the hi-intensity dialogues give you a solid reason to watch this one.

5. Holiday: A Soldier Is Never off Duty: Sonakshi and Khiladi Kumar got the film a grand 112 crores. It was loved for its appealing messages, quirks and proved to be a fantastic action-thriller.

6. Jai Ho: Another of Sallu’s action drama, it gleaned 11 crores. Though it received lukewarm reviews for the manner in which it featured corruption in India, it was still successful- thanks to Salman’s dynamic action and provoking dialogues.

7. Ek Villain: Ekta Kapoor’s romantic thriller turned out to be near perfect in terms of its terrific music. Its plot and engrossing acting of all the lead actors made it an utter paisa vasool movie- winning it 105 crores.

8. 2 States: KJo did an awesome job with this 104 crore grossing romantic comedy. The fun filled loved story is a must watch and is another one of Chetan Bhagat’s narrative, wonderfully transformed into a humorous drama.

9. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania: KJo again made it to the top 10 with this romantic comedy, which he said was an ode to the blockbuster DDLJ. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan did a pretty good job as the lead roles.

10. Gunday: The very first Bolly film to be premiered at Dubai International Film Festival the hard work of PC, Arjun and Ranveer made the story a riveting one and is commendable in every way- action, plot, emotions and drama.
