Time magazine named Aamir Khan as ‘Pioneer’


Perfectionist Aamir Khan has made to the list of Time magazine 100 Most Influential People of 2013. He has been named as a “pioneer” on the list. He made an international impact for his TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which highlighted the social evil prevails in the society.

He highlighted the social stigmas like female foeticide and medical malpractices, domestic violence and many more issues that prevail in this 21st century.

Aamir Khan also features on one of the seven special edition covers of the 2013 Time 100 issue. Time described the actor a star and activist.

Lawyer Vrinda Grover named as “pioneer” who vocal his voice calling for change and justice after the Delhi gang-rape. Finance minister P Chidambarama also makes to the list as a "titan."

The Time 100 also includes "leaders" Barack Obama and Pope Francis, "pioneer" Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, "titans" Jay-Z and Sheryl Sandberg, "icons" Malala Yousafzai, Aung San Suu Kyi, Michelle Obama, Daniel Day-Lewis, Justin Timberlake and Kate Middleton, and "artists" Jennifer Lawrence and Steven Spielberg.
