Tiger Zinda Hai: Salman Khan’s ‘EK Tha Tiger’ sequel coming up
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ directed by Kabir Khan and produced by YRF was a box-office hit. Now a sequel to the blockbuster, titled, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is being planned for 2018 Eid release and the film is going to be helmed by ‘Sultan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar.
Eid and Salman Khan go hand in hand. Fans eagerly waits for Salman’s Eid gift every year and the superstar never lets his fans down and always brings to them an interesting film and they also never disappoints their Bhai. They showers immense love on Salman’s Eid release.
Since 2017 Eid date is booked for Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’, YRF has planned to release ‘Tiger Zinta Hai’ on Eid 2018. Salman already blocked the date.
Kabir Khan is aware of the sequel and he renders his best wishes to the ream.
In an interview to After Hrs before the release of Sultan, Ali had said, “I can’t make a Kabir Khan film and Kabir Khan can’t make my film. Every script that I have written has been shared with Kabir and every script that Kabir has made, is shared with me. And we have conversations about it.”
A source close to the development informs, "Salman's Ek Tha Tiger broke all pre-existing records when it released on Eid about 4 years back. Now that Salman is gearing up for the sequel, he wants this to release on Eid too. Kabir's Tubelight releases next Eid. So probably Ali's film will only release on Eid 2018."
The female lead is not yet confirmed. Not sure whether Yash Raj banner will rope in the original heroine Katrina Kaif or look for a replacement.
