Teriya Magar wins ‘Dance India Dance Li'l Masters’


The third season of ‘Dance India Dance Li'l Masters’ is now over. 11 year old Teriya Magar from Nepal has been declared the winner. The final was held in Pune at the Balewadi Sports Complex. Magar competed against three other contestants in the final Sadhwin Shetty, Anushka Chetri and Hardik Ruparel. As the winner, Teriya Magar received a winner’s trophy and prize money of Rs. 10 lakh. It was presented to the winner by the special guest of the episode, actor Varun Dhawan. Also present were Mithun Chakraborty and the judges Ahmed Khan and Geeta Kapoor. 

The little girl was naturally excited about this tremendous achievement. She said, “I am very happy. It’s like a dream come true for me. I always water to take part in Dance India Dance. I used to watch this regularly and was lucky enough to make it through the auditions and reach the finals.”  She was happy to meet Bollywood star Varun Dhawan on the occasion and said, “I like Varun Dhawan. I have seen his movies. When he gave me the trophy, I really liked it because he is a hero. Main Tera Hero is an awesome movie but Student Of The Year is even better.”

When asked about what she would do with the prize money, she said that she wants to hand it over to her father so that he does not have to stay away from his family. Teriya Magar’s father who works in Dubai was present for the final and said that he was meeting his daughter after one year as he is mostly away for work.  When she was asked about what is her aim in life, not surprisingly she said that she wants to continue her dance and become a choreographer and actress when she grows up. The pretty little girl is also a huge fan of Sonakshi Sinha and wants to be like her.

Teriya Magar said, “I want to become an actress and a choreographer when I grow up. I am a huge fan of Sonakshi Sinha.” Teriya has also shared her experience of coming to India for the very first time.  She told the reporters, “This is my first visit to India. I want to come back again and again. I got a lot of love and respect from everyone. Also I have now become famous thanks to Dance India Dance. I was also interviewed by the media. I loved my stay here.”
