Telugu actor Uday Kiran hangs himself
Telugu actor Uday Kiran committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his room on late Sunday night. He was 33.
"On late Sunday night, Uday Kiran was found hanging from the ceiling in his flat in Srinagar colony. His wife Vishita and some neighbours rushed him to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival," a police official told IANS.
Uday born on January 26, 1980 debuted with Telugu romantic-drama ‘Chitram’ in 2000. He acted in movies like ‘Nuvvu Nenu’ and ‘Manasantha Nuvve’. He also worked in Tamil films,’Poi’ and ‘Pen Singam’.
In October, 2012 Uday Kiran married his long time friend Vishita. In 2003, he was also engaged to superstar Chiranjeevi’s daughter but later the engagement called off. He acted in over 18 films. He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu) in 2001 for the film, ‘Nuvvu Nenu’. Uday was all alone in the house when he took this drastic step.
His was last seen in Telugu outing ‘’Jai Sriram’. He had also recently signed a project titled ‘Dhil Kabbadi’.
An autopsy would be carried out at Usmania General Hospital
and the procedure would be video-recorded), Deputy Commissioner of Police (West
Zone) V Satyanarayana told reporters.
"Only after getting the autopsy report we will come to know what caused the death. Exact circumstances leading to the death would be known only after the probe," he said.
