Sushant Singh Rajput refutes throwing tantrums on reality show

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has refuted rumours that he threw tantrums on the sets of dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9’, which he visited to promote his upcoming film. The ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor said the film’s production house decides what an actor does on a reality show.

The 30-year old actor, who had been a contestant on reality show’s season 4 and became the first runner-up, recently visited the set of the celebrity dance show to promote his film 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'. According to reports, Sushant threw a lot of tantrums on the sets and asked the show managers not mention the fact that he started his career in the industry as a television actor and that he was a also participant of the show in 2011.

However, Sushant rubbished the reports and took to Twitter to post, “I am extremely proud to be an actor irrespective of the medium and also of my past. So stop these bullshit stories.”

“What an actor does on a reality show is decided by the studio for the film. I have worked in theatre, tv and films and I don't differentiate," he added in another tweet.

Sushant became a household name after featuring in Ekta Kapoor’s TV series ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ and became a small screen star with a lead role in 'Pavitra Rishta'. He quit television in 2011 to foray into films and got his first Bollywood break with the critically acclaimed and commercially successful ‘Kai Po Che!’ by Abhishek Kapoor.

He will be next seen 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', which is a biopic of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, directed by Neeraj Pandey. The movie will hit theatres on September 30.

Sushant is also working for Dinish Vijan’s directorial ‘Raabta’, a romantic drama starring Kriti Sanon opposite him.
