Sushant Singh Rajput injures his knee on ‘Raabta’ sets
Sushant Singh Rajput, who is currently shooting for ‘Raabta’, has injured himself and has been advised rest. The doctors who examined him have asked him to avoid running and other strenuous workouts for a month till the injury heals.
‘Raabta’ starring Kriti Sanon opposite the ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor is an action-romance being shot in Budapest and Mauritius among other locations. Sushant will be seen in some intense action sequences in the film and the actor has been rigorously working out to prepare for those scenes.
While shooting for one of these intense scenes, Sushant suffered a ligament tear in his right knee. "We practiced a lot and I could do the stunt properly every time, but unfortunately on the day of the shoot it was pouring and the ground was slippery. That caused the injury. I am glad that we could still finish the scene as planned," the actor said in a statement speaking about his injury.
‘Raabta’ marks the directorial debut of Dinesh Vijan who has produced films like ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Cocktail’, ‘Badlapur’ etc. It is being co-produced by Dinesh, Homi Adajania and Bhushan Kumar under the banner T-Series.
The film is slated to release on February 12 next year.
Meanwhile, Sushant is awaiting the release of ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’, a biopic on the life of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie directed by Neeraj Pandey is scheduled to hit theatres on September 30.
