Sunil and Zayed bruised on Mission Istanbul sets

In today's times most film directors have a lot of racy action in their films as they feel it will attract audiences. Today more stars are also eager to carry out action stunts themselves instead of using a body double. However there are a lot of risks involved as action sequences can some times go wrong. Sunil Shetty and Zayed Khan recently injured and bruised themselves but escaped any major injuries while shooting an action sequence for their film Mission Istanbul. 

Mission Istanbul is being produced by Sunil Shetty and is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film stars Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan, Vivek Oberoi etc. It is an action packed film and the action directors are Javed and Ejaz. Currently an action sequence is being shot at a remote location a little distance away from Jaipur city. A high voltage action sequence is being shot which involves a fight between the Al Qaida and the Northern Alliance where Zayed and Sunil have been captured and kept as prisoners. The scene involved four helicopters, 200 fighters and 20 explosions. Director Apoorva Lakhia said, "Sunil and Zayed had to run down a slope with a bomb exploding in the background but it exploded too close and they were showered with shrapnel.” However both Sunil and Zayed escaped with a few minor injuries and actually escaped a bomb blast behind them.  

Zayed however is all exited and geared up for all the action in the film despite being hurt; he said "Mission Istanbul has got to be the biggest and best action film I have worked in till today. I am battered, bruised, and have broken three bones but I still love it. For this particular action sequence Anna (Sunil) and me had to jump away from a rocket-propelled grenade but when the actual explosion happened Sunil and I went flying and there were shrapnel and splinters all over my arm!” However the producer, Sunil Shetty has ensured that all precautions are taken before any action sequence is shot and all arrangements for medical help including a doctor on hand and an emergency jeep to take any person if required to the nearby hospital has been kept ready. Meanwhile action directors too are being cautious and ensure that all the actors wear safe gear etc. Well fortunately this time round, the damage for Zayed and Suniel seem to be minimum.
