Suniel Shetty upset with Sanjay Gupta for criticizing his forthcoming production
The war between producer Sanjay Gupta and his Shootout At Lokhandwala director Apoorva Lakhia is out in the open with both of them bitching about the other. Recently director Apoorva claimed that he had not been given a percentage of his payment and there was a lot of higgling haggling over monetary issues between Sanjay Gupta and Apoorva. Gupta has refuted claims that he is holding Apoorva’s money back and claimed that the latter was bitching about him as he refused to produce his next ‘thrashy’ venture Mission Istanbul. Apparently now Suniel Shetty is upset too as Gupta termed his next production Mission Istanbul as thrashy.
Many others have been dragged into this personal feud between Lakhia and Gupta. Ekta Kapoor’s production house has also been dragged into the mess of non-payment issues as they had collaborated with Gupta for the film Shootout At Lokhandwala. Recently there were many other unit members who made allegations that Gupta’s company White Feather Films (WFF) had not made their payments yet. This had caused some tension earlier between Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta as Dutt was a partner in WFF. There were reports that showed payments were made to both Amitabh and Abhishek for their appearances in Shootout At Lokhandwala, but Amitabh has confirmed that neither of them has taken any money for the film.
Gupta is extremely upset with Apoorva Lakhia for all the trouble and confusion that he has caused. He recently said “Apoorva has lost his mind.” Gupta claimed that Apoorva was upset as he was not producing his next venture ‘Mission Istanbul’. Gupta however stated that the film was thrashy and the script was a joke and hence he had refused to produce it. But apparently the producer of Mission Istanbul Suniel Shetty is upset with Gupta for claiming that his production is thrashy. Suniel says “Yes I am very annoyed and upset by what he said about my film. I am hurt that Gupta who claims to be my friend said something like this in print. I am going to meet him and speak to him about this.” So will Sanjay make a new enemy or will the two friends manage to sort out their problems?
