Ghai never watches any of his films, even those directed by him, more than twice, however, watched this film six times.
"More than cricket, I have liked the emotions, pains and laughter that has been depicted in the film. I myself has watched it six times and each time I watch it, I find different and new things coming up," said Ghai.
Although Bollywood has produced a couple of films associated with cricket as its backdrop, this one is different from others.
"The story is much above the normal surrounding. It tells the story of an underdog and the idea was to show disability is to be treated with dignity. And I used cricket as the backdrop to make the film accessible to a larger audience," said Nagesh Kukunoor.
"From the technicians, director to the music, everything was perfect in the film. After long it's a totally different film," said Vinod Khanna, Bollywood Actor.
The movie is slated for release on August 26.
