SRK’s close pals Katrina, Arjun, Juhi skipped his party
Shahrukh Khan threw a grand bash on 10th August, 2013 at Mannat to celebrate Eid and to mark the release of his movie ‘Chennai Express’ and who’s who of Bollywood turned up for the bash. It was a star-studded affair. To see so many stars under the same roof is a rare sight but Shahrukh Khan’s bash gave us the chance to see so many celebrities, sports person and industrialists one time at one place. But the bash was also talked about for another reason and that was the absent of some of KIng Khan's close buddies. Katrina Kaif with whom he has done ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was missing from the party. Juhi Chawla, Arjun Rampal skipped the grand bash and their absence was hugely noticed and discussed.
Ajay Devgn and Kajol were invited but they did not turn up. SRK’s alleged ex-flame and actress Priyanka Chopra was also nowhere seen. Says an onlooker, “Perhaps Arjun’s absence stood out like a sore thumb. SRK had extended an olive branch towards Arjun recently but looks like that wasn’t enough. But the presence of Salman Khan’s brother and sister-in-law perhaps suggested that their newly rediscovered friendship could be here to stay. Juhi’s husband Jay Mehta was also present.”
Arjun Rampal’s wife Mehr Jesia who is a close friend of Gauri made up her husband’s absence as she turned up for the party. Incidentally, when Arjun celebrated his 40th birthday in Morocco, Gauri attended the party sans her husband.
Even music composer duo Vishal Shekhar also dropped for the bash thereby putting the rumor about their tussle with SRK into rest. It is heard that the superstar and the music composers had a fight over singer Honey Singh for the ‘Lungi Dance’ song in ‘Chennai Express’.
Though Shahrukh and Salman are in no talking terms but a long time, Arbaaz Khan made to the party with wife Malaika Arora Khan.
Indian foods were served to the guests and all had a great time.
