SRK, Katrina, Anushka reach Yash Chopa's hometown

Only counted days are left for the release of Yash Chopra last film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and the cast and the crew are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film in their own style. The stars of JTHJ Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma began the promotion the film from legendary Yash Chopra’s hometown Jalandhar.

Yash Chopra hails from Jalandhar and studied at Doaba College. The cast of the film visited the college to promote the movie as a tribute to the legendary director who passed away on 21st October.

"Yashji spent his youth days here and studied in this college. I am lucky to promote this film here and I request you all to go and watch the film. I am fortunate to stand at a place from where a legend started his journey and studied," said Shahrukh.

The two leading actresses of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma also spoke in honor of Yash Raj. They said that they are fortunate to come to the city where Yash Chopra lived. Yash Chopra died on 21st October due to dengue and multi-organ failure. He was 80.

The filmmaker announced his retirement from film direction on his 80th birthday. He completed the shooting of the film except one song. He had a plan to shoot a song at his favorite place Switzerland with Katrina and Shahrukh but before that he left the world. His family is planning a grand premiere for 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

Slated to release on November 13th, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ will have Shahrukh Khan playing the role of an army officer and Katrina Kaif his ladylove. Anushka plays a documentary filmmaker who makes film on the army officer.
