SRK dropped, Aamir to endorse Cola
Post Ghajini, Aamir Khan’s demand soar like never before. He became the hot favorite among the filmmakers and endorsers. Apart from endorsing Tata Sky and Titan, he has been signed to sell the cola. Beverage and snacks major PepsiCo has renewed the contact with him. They have signed Aamir for a whopping price of Rs. 10 crore. As summer is drawing near, he will soon give dates to shoot for the ad.
Last year, Pepcico’s 'youngistan' theme worked well and now they are planning another thrilling and appealing ad with Aamir Khan. Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly was once associated with the Cola company but Shahrukh had a long association with them. His contract with the company expired in 2008 but the company is again planning to renew contact with him. When contacted, a PepsiCo India spokesperson said: "We have a long and enduring relationship with Shah Rukh which PepsiCo is very proud of. We are currently in discussions with him to take this relationship to a new phase."
For decades, the cola company worked only with popular stars who remained prominent throughout the year. As last year belongs to Aamir, they have decided to renew contract with him and not with SRK though Shahrukh is equally prominent.
