Going by the buzz around Shahrukh Khan's trailer release of his movie ‘Happy New Year’, it seems no less than an event. Be it TV, newspapers, social media or gossip columns the heist extravaganza, directed by Farah Khan, is the cynosure. And full marks to publicists for not leaving any stone unturned in turning the trailer release as big as the film.
The makers of ‘Happy New Year’ have created enough hoopla about the upcoming movie. The public is actually counting days to the release of the movie! In fact, Shahrukh Khan has lent his marketing acumen and expertise in sending the hype sky high. It was his idea to tour the US with the main cast September onwards to promote the multi-starrer. Teasers of the tour are out on YouTube already.
If YouTube wasn't enough, Shahrukh Khan and his team decided to release the trailer on popular messenger service Whatsapp, targeting at a large number of SRK fans. The restriction on a WhatsApp broadcast message has been removed for this promotional campaign.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd and distributed by Yash Raj Films worldwide, ‘Happy New Year’ is slated to hit theatres this Diwali. The film is directed by Farah Khan and also features Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.

The only challenge was the restriction by WhatsApp where a broadcast message cannot be sent to more than 250 friends/WhatsApp users but WhatsApp has specially removed this restriction for this campaign,” he added.
Well..there’s much more in store! The makers of 'Happy New Year' have released a motion poster of the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, ahead of the trailer release on August 15. The motion poster looks interesting and shows the entire star cast of the movie. It begins with fireworks and then comes a tagline that reads- 'Iss Diwali Todenge Taale Indiawaale'.
