Sonam Kapoor walks the ramp for Manish Malhotra
Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor dazzled in white lehenga and heavily embroidered red backless overcoat with embellished gold work as she walked the ramp for ace designer Manish Malhotra at the ongoing Synergy1 Delhi Couture Week in the capital.
She appeared as a surprise showstopper. Manish Malhotra’s design has been inspired from traditional work of the 1930-1940. His design leaves the mark of royalty. His collection is a blend of traditional and contemporary silhouettes with a touch of British influence.
"I have reinterpreted the 1930 and 1940s style of clothing in my designs. The collection had a flare of everything that a couture garment should have. I felt it`s the time to move away from duplication and revisit the classic style with glamorous look," said Manish Malhotra.
The women`s were seen mostly wearing ghagaras, lehengas, suits and saris while the men`s basically wore high embroided sherwani. Present at the event was Sonakshi Sinha, who walked the ramp for Shantanu-Nikhil`s show. Shweta Nanda and Jas Arora were also present.
