Sonam Kapoor laughs at Deepika Padukone's style

Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone appeared once in ‘Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ and they gelled quite well but it seems now the bonding between them disappeared and in the latest episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’, Sonam Kapoor took a dig at Deepika’s fashion.

While Deepika avoids passing any unpleasant statement against her colleagues on the chat show but Sonam was just the opposite, she opened up before Karan and gave the show what it basically needs.

When Karan Johar quizzed, Sonam Kapoor, who is Bollywood’s leading stylista on the fashion trends, she was quick to answer: “Deepika has upped her game.. yes.. but it’s all thanks to Anaita (designer Anaita Shroff). Anaita has done a great job on her.”

For Katrina Kaif, Sonam said, “Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould, which I respect a lot. She is not trying to be the fashion icon of the century.”

Comparing Deepika and Katrina, Sonam Kapoor said, “Even if she (Katrina) wears a jeans and t-shirt and has her hair in ponytail.. I’d rather have that than someone who is like ‘I want to be on the cover of Vogue every three months’.”

Sonam Kapoor did not stop connecting on Deepika even during the rapid fire round. If it is not known to you Deepika and Sonam have the same PR agency and Sonam feels Deepika has an ‘over enthusiastic PR team’ and she also ‘titled’ Deepika as ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’. The ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ actress felt that Dippy’s PR team has planted stories against her.

When Karan asked her what is the one thing Deepika Padukone has that she doesn't, and pat came reply, “An over enthusiastic PR team.”

Sonam favours Katrina Kaif and not Deepika Padukone when talking about the fashion statements made by the two actresses.

When Karan Johar asked her who is Bollywood’s leading fashionista, Sonam said, "Amongst the rest Deepika has upped her game because… But that is all thanks to Anaita (Vogue’s Creative Head and Deepika's stylist) who is doing a great job with her. Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould which I respect a lot. She is not trying to become the fashion icon of the century which is really cool. I like the fact that she likes being in jeans and white shirt rather than be on the cover of Vogue every three months!"
