Sonam Kapoor nervous about brother Harshvardhan
The latest star kid to join Bollywood bandwagon is Anil Kapoor’s 21-year-old son Harshvardhan Kapoor. Cinegoers are already familiar with Anil Kapoor’s two daughters actress, Sonam Kapoor, and the other daughter, Rhea, who is a producer and also Sonam’s stylist. Anil’s son, Harshvardhan, was not known to audiences until recently, when news of his debut started making news. Harshvardhan may say that he is more interested in screenplay-writing and cinematography, but he is all set to join acting just like his father and sister Sonam.
Bollywood actress and the confident fashionista, Sonam Kapoor, says she is nervous to see her younger brother Harshvardhan on-screen.
While talking to a news agency, Sonam reportedly said, “I am happy he is here (in the film industry). But I am very nervous because he is a kid and I hope he does well.”
According to reports, Harshvardhan will be launched by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in his upcoming movie, ‘Mirza Sahiba’. The filmmaker while confirming the news had said, “We needed a fresh face and I liked Harsh, as he has the fierce intensity of a lover in him, combined with an innocent softness in his eyes.”
“’Mirza Sahiba’ is a subject close to my heart. Gulzar bhai started writing it three years ago, he added.
Sources in the media said Harshvardhan has been in Delhi for quite some time, preparing for his part away from the crowd in Mumbai. Mehra was quoted saying, “Harsh’s dedication and passion have surprised us all.
The film is a musical love tragedy based on a folklore set in Rajasthan, with a contemporary touch. Harshvardhan will portray the character of Mirza in the film.
Reportedly, Harshvardhan returned from the US after studying screenplay writing and acting and has already worked as assistant director to Anurag Kashyap on his upcoming film ‘Bombay Velvet’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Mehra while talking about the locations of his movie was quoted as saying, “The film is an adaptation of a folklore and it is set there (in Rajasthan). It is set in today’s time. The scouting for the locations is in process. We are looking for the right locations ... I think we are trying to zero in on Jodhpur, Udaipur and the desert and dunes in Rajasthan.”
He also said that it was very important to select locations depending upon the story and added that he already had explored some major locations in such metros cities as New Delhi, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Punjab.
