Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Noor’ to hit screens on Apr 7, 2017


Actress Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming film ‘Noor’ in which she will be seen in the role of a journalist will hit theatres on April 7 next year, the ‘Dabangg’ actress revealed.

Sonakshi took to Twitter and shared a poster of ‘Noor’ which has a collage of her pictures in different looks – wearing caps and bespectacled, with the hash tag ‘#one girl, many moods’. “The date is set! #Noor arrives 7th April, 2017 #LifeIsGood #GotMyGlowOn #Yay @NoorTheFilm @Abundantia_Ent @TSeries,” she wrote on the micro-blogging site.

‘Noor’ is based on Pakistani writer Saba Imtiaz's 2014 novel, ‘Karachi, You're Killing Me’ and Sonakshi will be playing the titular character of journalist Noor Roy Chaudhary. The film went on floors in July and is expected to wrap up by this month. It is reportedly being shot in a single schedule in Mumbai.

The film, said to be a crime thriller comedy, is being directed by Sunhil Sippy and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment. Besides Sonakshi, the film also features comedian Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli in supporting roles.

Meanwhile, Sonakshi is gearing up for the release of her action thriller ‘Akira’. Directed by A R Murugadoss, it also stars Anurag Kashyap and Konkona Sen Sharma and is slated to hit screens on September 2. She will also be seen in John Abraham starrer ‘Force 2’ which is in post-production stage.
