Sonakshi practises Kathakali on 'Dabangg 2 set

Sonakshi Sinha loves dancing and she has stunned all by matching steps with ace choreographer Prabhu Dev in the song ‘Govinda Re’ from ‘OMG! Oh My God. To flourish her dancing skill, Sonakshi got some classical dancing steps from some Kathakali dancers on the set of ‘Dabangg 2’.

When Sona spotted some Kathakali dancers on the set of ‘Dabangg 2’, she became thrilled and she requested the dancers to teach her few more steps.“When Sonakshi came to know about it, she got really excited and revealed that she has always been very interested in the dance form. She requested the dancers to teach her a few steps before showing them the steps she already knows. Even the dancers were amazed that she knew her own steps so well and also at the speed at which she picked up the new steps. It was then that she told them that she knows a little bit of both Bharat Natyam and Kathakali,” says the insider.

“Even on the sets, she is very keen to learn new things all the time and has no qualms in going and seeking professional help too,” adds the unit source. “What makes it fun to work with her is that despite her having had so many hits in such a short span of time, and coming from an illustrious film family, she has absolutely no airs on the sets. That makes her an instant hit with the entire crew,” shares another crew member from the sets.

The people of the unit were surprised to know Sonakshi Sinha well-versed knowledgeabout classical dance forms like Kathakali and Bharat Natyam!

Though Sonakshi did not perform alone in her films so far, she has got the capability to make her audience goes gaga over her dance.

Directed and produced by Arbaaz Khan, ‘Dabangg 2’ is salted to release on December 21st.
