Sonakshi and Shahid rescued from island of Thailand
Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor are currently winding up shooting for their next movie ‘R…Rajkumar’. During one of the shoots at an island of Thailand, the actors were rescued by a chopper post the information of a heavy storm.
The actors were shooting on island of Khai in Thailand. The crew of the movie received information regarding the hitting of a storm by coastal authorities. The filmmakers didn’t want to take a chance with the actors. So, both Shahid and Sonakshi were requested to finish the shoot before the storm hit and then they were rescued by a chopper
“We got an alert from them that the storm might hit after 5 pm, so we needed to wrap up the shoot as early as possible. The actors even skipped their lunch breaks to finish the schedule in time. We arranged for a chopper to rescue Shahid and Sonakshi to avoid any risk”, says producer Viki Rajani.
The crew members other than the actors remained at the island on a safe area. Rajani adds, “It was raining and there was high tide, but luckily, there was no storm. We made arrangements for the unit to stay there for a while. They returned later in boats.”
‘R…Rajkumar’ is an action movie written by Shiraz Ahmad and directed by Prabhu Dheva. The movie is produced by Viki Rajani and Sunil Lulla. The movie will release on 6th December. The movie was earlier titled ‘Rambo Rajkumar’. But later it was found that the word ‘Rambo’ was copyright of ‘Rambo’ series. So, it was dropped. The music album of the movie is fresh with very different lyrics. The music is composed by Pritam and the lyrics have been put by Anupam Amod and Mayur Puri.
Sonakshi is happy to play a chirpy character in this movie. She says, “Every director has a different way of portraying something and Prabhudheva has his own. What I did in LOOTERA and OUATIMD, it was as per Vikramaditya (Motwane) and Milan (Luthria) style. I had to be sober there but in R... RAJKUMAR, I cannot underplay my character. It is chirpy and bubbly and that's the way it is supposed to come on screen. What you see out here is a complete Prabhudeva style of film and I am happy to go over the top.”
Sonakshi adds further, “The kind of chemistry that we share in the film is quite entertaining. The romance is very different here. Moreover, Prabhudheva has given me some massy dialogues as well which are quite powerful and catchy. They would work well with the audience.”
