Shruti Haasan in Prabhu Deva’s next
Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan bagged another promising project. She has been signed by ace choreographer turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva. Shruti has been paired opposite producer Kumar Taurani's son Girish. The film is a musical love story and the shooting will begin from next month.
Prabhu Dheva confirmed Shruti's presence in the project saying, "We were
thinking of a new girl. But Shruti seems a better option. She has everything it
takes."
Revealing the film details, Prabhu said, "It is as massey as Rowdy Rathore.
That is the only language I know. It will be targeted at single-theatre
audiences. But we will put some elements for the multiplex audience as
well."
Prabhu, who
has moved to Mumbai to cherish his Bollywood dream has back-to-back three Hindi
films to direct and one among them is ‘Namak’ starring Shahid Kapoor. He said,
"I am staying in Boney Kapoor's old place in Green Acres as they've
shifted to a new bungalow".
His last film, ‘Rowdy Rathore’ fared well at the box-office. It crossed 100 crore mark.
Shruti, 26, debuted in Luck (2009) opposite Imran Khan and bagged
another Bollywood project in 2011 with Dil
Toh Baccha Hai Ji starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya,
Shazahn Padamsee. Unfortunately, both the films doomed at the box-office.
