Shiney’s judicial custody extended till Aug 27

This is the fifth time that Shiney Ahuja’s bail plea was rejected and his judicial custody has been extended. The Andheri metropolitan magistrate has extended Shiney’s judicial custody till August 27. The Mumbai Police on Tuesday filed a 109 page charge sheet against the actor that includes rape, wrongful confinement and threatening his domestic servant.

Due to lack of jurisdiction to conduct the trial, the Andheri metropolitan magistrate has meanwhile transferred the case to Sessions Court. If found guilty of rape and harassment then under the jurisdiction of the Sessions Court, Shiney will be sent to jail for more than three years.

Shiney who is accused of raping his maid is lodged in Mumbai Arthur road jail. Though the actor denied rape and accepted to have only consensual sex with the maid, the forensic reports of the actor and the maid confirmed that she was raped by the 36 years old actor.
