Shiney Ahuja gets bail

Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja heaved a sigh of relief. After serving jail for more than three months, he was granted bail. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Shiney on a surety of Rs.50,000, his lawyer Shirish Gupte informed. 'There is no clear evidence that Shiney had raped his maid,' he maintained.

Previously, two times Shiney’s bail application has been rejected at the lower court. On Thursday, Shiney’s bail application put up to Justice A.P. Deshpande and after going through the case, he has granted him bail. Shiney has been accused of raping his maid servant on June 14 and since then he was under judicial custody.

CM of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan transferred the case to the fast track court for quick justice. 'He will be required to live in New Delhi during the pendency of the trial and come to Mumbai every time there is a hearing,' Gupte told.

If in the court, the charge against Shiney proved then he will go behind bars for minimum seven years.
