Shilpa Shetty offered a role in a limited-episode TV series
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has already appeared several times on the small screen. She made her debut on Indian television in 2008 when she hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss 2’, and over the years had judged a couple of celebrity dance shows. She will soon be seen again as a judge in an upcoming kids dance show ‘Super Dancer’.
Now, Shilpa will be seen acting in a full-fledged role on the small screen, if reports are to be believed.
According to Hindustan Times, the ‘Dhadkan’ actress has been offered a role in a TV series. “The show will have 20-22 episodes, something like Anil Kapoor’s ongoing TV series (24),” a source close to the actress was quoted as saying.
The show in question has been offered by a Mumbai-based production house which thought Shilpa was perfect for the show. “It is based on real-life incidents and will feature inspirational stories,” the source added.
Shilpa is yet to go through the script and take a decision. “She has been busy with her brand endorsements, entrepreneurial ventures and fitness-related projects,” according to the source.
When Shilpa was contacted, the actress revealed that she doesn’t mind taking on a show with limited episodes, but isn’t willing to do daily soaps as they were long-running and exhausting. “Though I admire the dedication of TV actors [in such shows], I don’t have the time for daily soaps. TV needs a lot of time and energy,” Shilpa told the daily.
