Shilpa-Raj Kundra patches up with Sanjay-Manyata
Husband Raj Kundra and wife Shilpa Shetty were once very dear friends and business partners of Dutts. Last year Sanjay Dutt and Raj Kundra launched a Super Fight League. The concept was a brain child of Raj and Sanjay joined hands to promote the league. It was a Mixed Martial Arts Fighting League.
Sanjay Dut and Raj Kundra had fallout over the sponsorship issue associated with the fighting league. The official partner of the tournament was a renowned food brand. Balaji Rao was the managing Director of that brand. He had a spat with Raj Kundra over the amount of sponsorship. After the tournament got over, Balaji Rao refused to cough up the sponsorship amount. Balaji was a good friend of Sanjay Dutt. Due to this Sanjay Dutt had an argument with Raj and their relationship soured.
Before that both the families were close to the extent that wives used to shop together and used to spend quality time with each other. They used hang out together quite often. But after fallout between the husbands, even the wives started avoiding each other.
However, at the third birthday of Dutt’s twin kids, the kundra family was present at the birthday party and the family also seemed comfortable in the company of Dutts. Guests were astonished as industry people had expected Kundras to give a miss to the bash. But they were present there along with their son Viaan.
Sanjay Dutt was also present at the birthday party. Sanjay Dutt is out from the jail for a few days as he had requested a few days with the family. Said an insider, “Dutt’s twins Shahraan and Iqra turned 3. Sanjay is on a time-out from jail and he enjoyed spending time with the kids and his close friends, Raj and Shilpa.”
The theme of the birthday party was smurfs.
A common friend of Shilpa and Maanayata said, “Maanayata and Shilpa were the best of friends and even hung out with each other a lot. But after the clash of interests between their husbands, they started avoiding each other.”
Shilpa said, “Manya and Sanju are very dear to me and Raj. There was no question of not going.”
