Shatrughan Sinha refuses to award Kareena
Yesteryears actor Shatrughan Sinha burst over the Zee Cine Awards organizers when they asked him to hand over the Zee Cine award to Kareena Kapoor instead of Shahrukh Khan. He left the function in an anger and did not even attend the after-awards party. He felt neglected and in his high pitch voice stormed at them.
Actually, Shatrughan was decided to present the best actor award to Shahrukh Khan for Chak De India and he was quite excited about it. But at the eleventh hour, the organizer changed their plan and fixed Rekha for Shahrukh and Shatrughan for Kareena. Shatrughan was disappointed when the organizers changed their plan at the last minute. He felt humiliated when he was replaced by Rekha and angry Shatrughan left the party in his unique style. He too expressed that he is a big star and awarding big actor only suits his image.
Later, Govinda was called on the stage and he handed over the trophy to Kareena Kapoor for Jab We Met.
