Sharukkh to step into Big B’s shoes in ‘Hum’ remake

After the super-duper success of ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Singham Returns’, 100 crore director Rohit Shetty has zeroed on his new project which is going to a remake of 1991 hit, ‘Hum’ starring Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Mukul Anand’s ‘Hum’ was one of the biggest hits of the 90’s. Now Rohit Shetty has penned a script which is going to be a remake of the blockbuster.

Says a source, "Rohit's next film, starring SRK, will be a remake of the '90s hit film, 'Hum' and currently, things are being finalised for the same."

The source adds that SRK will play Big B's character and Varun and Sidharth might play the character of Govinda and Rajinikanth . "For Govinda and Rajinikanth's characters, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are being considered but nothing has been finalised yet. Rohit is still working on the film's script and Kajol will also be a part of this film," says the source.

Rohit Shetty is also looking forward to bring together the hit pair Kajol and Shahrukh Khan. "He is looking forward to working with SRK and Kajol," says a source close to the filmmaker.

Let's see whether Shahrukh Khan can do justice to the role and create a new benchmark.
