Sharmila Tagore chats about Saif and Soha

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore seems content with the pace of her life. She has her selective work that keeps her shuffling from Delhi to Mumbai and she is also content to see children Saif and Soha Ali Khan do well in the film industry. Sharmila admits that she is not worried about Saif. She states, "I am not worried about Saif. He has seen life closely and has handled it so far. But I am getting old and I want Soha to get married and settle down." 

Sharmila Tagore beams with pride when she speaks about son Saif Ali Khan. Like all mother's she too is happy with the success that he has found in the film industry. She is also happy that his personal life with new girlfriend Kareena Kapoor is going well. Mother Sharmila seems to think that Kareena is a good influence on her son, Sharmila states, "Saif looks much fitter and happier now. I hope he remains like this." Meanwhile Sharmila claims that she and her husband have always respected and supported Saif's decisions in both his personal as well as his professional life. Sharmila who was acquainted with Kareena Kapoor earlier has now met her again through Saif. She has only praises for Kareena and says, "Kareena is a lovely girl and a fantastic actress. She has always met me with great respect and love and I like her." However on the topic of marriage between Saif and Kareena, Sharmila states, "He (Saif) will make his own decision, his children also are involved in this. Happily Sarah and Ibrahim are fond of Kareena."

Sharmila though claims that when rumours of Saif and Kareena having tied the knot secretly were doing rounds, she was not really upset as she felt that Saif is now matured and would not do such a thing as he has in the past with his first wife, Amrita Singh. However she does have some good old advice for son Saif, Sharmila believes that a romantic relationship should not be stretched for too long before marriage, she says, "Especially if you have found that special someone whom you want to grow old with. Either the relationship fizzles out or loses its charm." However like a typical mother hen, Sharmila clucks and worries over her daughter Soha's future, Sharmila says, "I am more concerned about Soha settling down than Saif." Daughter Soha Ali Khan is rumoured to be dating South star Siddharth who made his debut in bollywood with Rang De Basanti.
