Shahrukh quits smoking for his two kids

King Khan is a chain smoker. In spite of appeal from his fans and Health minister Anbumani Ramdadoss, Shahrukh felt it was tough to quit smoking as he feels an artist should have creative liberty. But able to convince him to discard this bad habit are his two children, Aryan and Suhana. They hate to see their dad blowing up butts one after the other. Shahrukh finds this is a little sacrifice from his side to make his children happy.

He is quoted as saying, "I am giving up smoking under persuasion from my children. They don't like the habit. If they did not have any objection I might have continued smoking. I consider their pressure as a blessing." Anbumani Ramdadoss has appealed number of times to Shahrukh and other Bollywood stars to quit smoking as it creates a bad impression among the young generation. Neither Shahrukh nor any other Bollywood star had listened to his plea. "I think minister Anbumani Ramadoss will also be happy to hear that I am going to quit smoking. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see one more person happy because of my actions" Shahrukh said.

Shahrukh is confident that he would able to give up the bad habit which he is carrying with him for 20 long years.
