Shahrukh Khan to star in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’


Shahrukh Khan will be next feature in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’.  The film will be a befitting tribute to his millions of fans across the globe and Shahrukh Khan wished to dedicate the film to all those die-hard fans who has made him what he is today.

"Most of the characters I do, are the ones I create...for the first time I am going to play what has created me...I will be in my next a 'fan'," Shah Rukh posted on the microblogging site Monday.

The film will be directed by Maneesh Sharma of ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ and will be produced by Aditya Chopra. It has been written by Habib Faisal of ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ and the shooting will start from May next year, said a statement.

Talking about the film, Shahrukh said that it is a film dedicated to his fan following and the love which they have bestowed on him over the years.

"'FAN' is a 'family film'. It's the family all of you have become for me...the one I didn't have. I want to be as beautiful as you all. Thanks," he said.

Shahrukh Khan’s last film ‘Chennai Express’ with Deepika Padukone, turned out to be one of the biggest grosser of 2013 and currently he is shooting Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ with Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani and Abhishek Bachchan.
