Shahrukh Khan to play cameo in Marathi film ‘Dhanak’
Shahrukh Khan is all set to make special appearance in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Marathi film, titled, ‘Dhanak’. Nagesh who is known to make socially relevant movies scripted his new project which is based on eye donation. After ‘Laxmi’, Kukunoor chose the concept of eye donation as his new project.
It is known that despite hectic schedule, Shahruh Khan shot for the film two days in Rajasthan. Shahrukh will be playing himself in the film and will endorse the noble cause of eye donation.
‘Dhanak’ means rainbow in Rajathani language and is a remake of the Iranian film ‘Besak’. In overseas, the film will be released as Rainbow. The story revolves around siblings in which the elder sister donates her eyes to her younger brother before he turns nine so that he can see the world.
Shahrukh is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie ‘Happy New Year’, directed by Farah Khan which is slated for Diwali release this year. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead.
