Shahrukh Khan, the sexiest Asian man
SRK has been basking in the glory of his hit film Om Shanti Om which received good reviews and now even before all the hype has settled down on this one, he has now been voted the ‘sexiest Asian man’ by a British Asian newspaper. Amongst several hundreds of other nominees, Shahrukh Khan has been voted as the number one sexiest Asian man.
Last week actress Bipasha Basu won the title of sexiest Asian woman and now bollywood badshah SRK has been selected as the sexiest Asian man. Shahrukh has beaten other bollywood heartthrobs like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, John Abraham etc to bag the number one position. So it seems like SRK’s perfect six pack abs has only enhanced his sex appeal. However King Khan does not think that he is sexy and says “Being called the sexiest man is truly shocking! I never thought I would hear this in my lifetime. My abs-felt thanks to the voters and no, I don’t think I am sexy.” Shahrukh feels that maybe the fact that he does not think that he is sexy makes him appear sexy to others. Nonetheless Shahrukh is grateful to his fans and voters for giving him this honour too. Bipasha Basu who won the sexiest Asian woman said “I never got a chance to work with Shahrukh but it’s nice to know both of us topped this survey. We make a sexy couple!”
Meanwhile SRK is making his presence felt at several bollywood events. Recently he inaugurated the 38th International Film festival of India (IFFI) as the chief guest. SRK dedicated the event to the common people; however he was a bit upset with the recent accusations by the BCCI of him attending matches to promote his films . Shahrukh Khan will also inaugurate another event held by Smita Thakeray on World Aids Day, December 1. The organisers wanted SRK to perform at the event, but as he has packed schedules he is unable to do so, but instead he has agreed to inaugurate the event. Other bollywood artists like Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza will perform at the event. Smita Thakeray is grateful to SRK for being even a small part of the event.
