Shahrukh Khan's most 'Colorful' event
A novel film deserves an equally novel music launch. And that's precisely what Shah Rukh Khan did when he launched the music of PAHELI amidst the Mumbai media on May 3 at Taj Lands End, Bandra. Although T-Series released the sampler cassettes on the occasion, the cassettes and CDs will officially hit the marquee on May 7
Incidentally, the music of all SRK productions, ASOKA, CHALTE CHALTE, MAIN HOON NA and now PAHELI, were launched at noon, unlike the trend of having music launches at night.
But the music launch of PAHELI was most 'colorful'. An ethnically decorated cart and miniature puppets greeted the invitees at the foyer of the hotel. Inside, a specially erected stage -- the kind you see in the villages of Rajasthan -- was erected for the music launch of the film by award winning art director Muneesh Sappal [PINJAR].
Sajid Khan conducted the show [he was sober this time around!], introducing the musical team of the film - music director M.M. Kreem, singers Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Madhushree and Kalapini. Subsequently, four pairs of dancers, dressed in Rajasthani attire, danced to the tracks of the film.
SRK and director Amol Palekar shared their experiences while making the film. Subsequently, Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T-Series, officially released the music.
