Shahrukh, Deepika, Madhuri grace ‘Slam The Tour’ poster

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is all set to return to the USA after 10 years to entertain the fans through a series of concerts across various cities. This time SRK is not alone. He is taking the entire cast and also the director of his upcoming Diwali release ‘Happy New Year’.  The international tour has been titled as ‘Slam The Tour’.

Apart from SRK the series of concerts will see appearances by -Farah Khan Kunder (Director/Actor), Deepika Padukone (Actor), Madhuri Dixit Nene (Actor), Malaika Arora Khan (Actor), Abhishek Bachchan (Actor), Boman Irani (Actor), Sonu Sood (Actor), Vivaan Shah (Actor) and Kanika Kapoor (Singer).  Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is also expected to appear during the tour.

After performing in USA, the ‘Happy New Year’ gang will head to the United Kingdom where they are slated to perform at the famous O2 arena in London. Back in July while announcing ‘Slam The Tour’ SRK had said, “"I am blessed to get a lot of love and support from people around the world. This is our way of giving this love back and thanking you all. I am super excited and looking forward to being in your city along with my colleagues Farah, Deepika, Madhuri, Malaika, Abhishek, Boman, Sonu, Vivaan and Kanika. We promise you an evening of love, laughter and entertainment. So mark your calendar and be there at SLAM, THE TOUR."

The tour is seen as a master stroke by SRK to promote his upcoming film ‘Happy New Year’ along with earning large revenue. This way the makers will not have spent too much extra money for promotions. Apart from acting, SRK is also producing the film through his banner Red Chilies. A source close to SRK had earlier reported, "There will be around 25-30 shows and each is expected to fetch SRK Rs 7 crore. Going by this calculation, they could add almost Rs 200 crore to the kitty even before the film opens in the theatres."

The cast of the film happily agreed to Shahrukh’s proposal of performing in the tour. The source added, "The cast agreed to the arrangement as SRK will pay them over and above their acting fee. Around 140 professional dancers will also be hired. It's an ambitious venture which aims to be even bigger than the Temptations Reloaded concert tour."  The rehearsals were held in SRK’s office in August. After stealing hearts overseas, there are plans for holding shows in India as well.
