Shahrukh and son Aryan watch Cricket World Cup live in Johannesburg


Everybody was very excited that India reached the finals in the world Cup Twenty20 cricket match and there was a lot of excitement as India would play against opponent Pakistan to win the World Cup. Well even our bollywood boys seemed equally excited that India had reached the finals. And who better than bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan to cheer and encourage the Indian team. SRK along with son Aryan landed up in Johannesburg, South Africa for a day to watch and cheer for Team India.
SRK also took along his young son Aryan to watch the match live in Johannesburg; he said “I promised Aryan I'd take him to Johannesburg if India reached the finals, so here we are!” SRK also said “I wanted to cheer for the team in person. It's seldom that we appreciate our team for their achievements. I had the time and the reason, so I am here. And, of course, the match is with Pakistan so the atmosphere will be charged." Finally India won the World Cup match with Pakistan and SRK like all cricket enthusiasts is overjoyed at their victory. He was even seen mingling along with the team on the field after their victory. On Team India’s victory SRK said “It was absolutely wonderful. I am lucky that I could participate in the history-making piece of sportsmanship that the team has shown and I congratulate the team.”

Recently SRK’s film on hockey, Chak De India has done exceptionally well and the sports fever seems to have gripped the country. Now with India’s victory in the World Cup cricket match, this sports fever has been further upped. A proud SRK’s message to boys in blue before the match was “There is a saying — dance like nobody is watching. I would tell the Indian team to play for having fun. From now onwards, the message is Om Shanti Om, and, 'Win the World Cup'!” Of course King Khan did not miss the opportunity to also promote his next home production Om Shanti Om .
