Shahrukh and John to star together in Rajkumar Hirani’s film
After Rajkumar Hirani’s two films on the Munnabhai series, the third sequel ‘Munabhai Chale Amrika’ has been postponed due to Sanjay Dutt’s legal woes. Now Hirani is currently concentrating on another film project and there will no doubt be huge expectations after his two hit films. Well so far the director has not disappointed and has roped in big stars like Shahrukh Khan and John Abraham for his next film. The film will be based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Five Point Someone: What not to do at IIT’.
Rajkumar Hirani and SRK have wanted to work together for quite some time and they have finally got a chance to do so. SRK and John have recently been seen together in a Pepsi commercial and are now all set to light up the big screen together. The film will deal with three IIT students who enroll in a top university, the problems they face and how they overcome these problems. So once again like his other films, Hirani will try and deliver a social message of triumph and success despite tribulations and struggle. John and SRK will be seen for the first time together in a film.
However although director Hirani seems ready with the script, sources claim that SRK has been delaying the shooting as he is busy promoting his home production Om Shanti Om. SRK is giving a lot of his attention to Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om and as a result many of his other films have been pushed back. However director Hirani claims “SRK is not delaying the film. We need time for pre-production and final scripting, so we'll start the film in January 2008.” SRK on his part confirms that he is doing Hirani’s film but states “I don't like discussing my dates as a matter of principle. It's the ambit of the producer and director.” SRK also clarifies that he has finished shooting for Om Shanti Om and is currently on a two month break until he starts his next film Robot.
