Shahid Kapur decides to give up smoking
For the last few months, Shahid Kapur has been under a lot of stress what with his four year long relationship with Kareena going kaput. Shahid has always been a health freak, he does not drink and smoke and is a strict vegetarian. Shahid also takes a lot of care of his body and works out regularly to keep fit. However due to all the stress he has been under lately, Shahid began smoking while shooting for his film Kismet Connection in Canada during the crisis in his personal relationship. However recently on his birthday Shahid decided to quit smoking and has stuck to his decision so far.
Shahid began smoking as he was under a lot of stress. At first his friends and colleagues thought it was work related stress but his friends got really worried when Shahid seemed to become a chain smoker. However recently on his birthday Shahid decided to quit smoking after his friends kept telling him that he was only harming himself. A friend claimed Shahid decided to quit smoking, saying "He felt it was wrong of him to smoke because he was sending out wrong signals to his young fans who hold him in high regards. On his birthday, last month, Shahid made a resolution to give up smoking completely." Shahid has also began working out rigorously to develop a fit body for Ken Ghosh's film where he plays a dancer. However Shahid now seems to have accepted the changes in his life gracefully and is trying to move on after his break up with ex girlfriend Kareena. Shahid's trainer confirmed that he has kicked the butt, saying "Earlier Shahid was not achieving the desired results and I told him his smoking was causing him much harm. Thank goodness, he kicked off the habit and has stuck to it."
Fortunately things have also started looking up for Shahid in his film career after the box-office success of Jab We Met. Shahid now a number of big banner films on hand. He will be seen in Ken Ghosh's film, he will be doing a film with Vishal Bharadwaj, a film to be directed by dad Pankaj Kapur and a Yash Raj film too. So it certainly seems like Shahid's giving up smoking has benefited him alot
