Shahid refuses to wear vest

Shahid Kapur doesn’t want to make any compromise with perfection in his forthcoming films, after the release of Kaminey where he was all muscles. This could be the reason he refused to listen to director Parmeet Sethi and choreographer Ahmed Khan on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ Badmaash Company. After his reluctance to give retakes Shahid once again gave the film unit a headache yesterday.

This happened while shooting at MT Studios for the film’s title song, which required the actor to wear a white vest in a pub. The worst part was Shahid knew beforehand that he would be asked to wear a white vest for the song. However, on reaching the sets Shahid simply refused to wear a white ganji and the reason he gave was that he had been missing his daily workout to look realistic for his role as a depressed man in his father Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut, Mausam.

Amusingly, Shahid refused to change his decision even when he was told that producer Aditya Chopra had especially instructed the film unit to make him wear the white vest in the title song. Parmeet Sethi had no other options but to manage with a half-sleeve white tee and only then did Shahid start shooting.
