According to rumours Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor have split due to Kareena’s growing closeness to actor Saif Ali Khan . Shahid and Kareena have been seeing each other for over three years and have hardly been linked to other co-stars ever since. However now it seems this ever so compatible couple has split due to the growing distance between them as they are both busy with their own careers. Also rumours claim Saif and Kareena have grown extremely close while shooting for the Yash Raj film Tashan together. But it seems that Shahid has requested Bebo not to make their split public till after the release of their film Jab We Met.
Shahid and Kareena recently completed Imtiaz Ali’s film Jab We Met and Shahid has a lot of hopes pinned on the film as he will be seen in a film after a long break. Moreover Shahid has not had many hits in his short film career and has still to find his place in bollywood. But Kareena Kapoor has been on a film signing spree after a year long break and has several other big banner films which she is shooting for. Hence according to sources “Shahid has told her not to speak about their differences or the reasons for the break-up till their film Jab We Met releases.” Meanwhile Shahid is busy shooting for a film in Canada and it is believed that Saif’s ex-girlfriend Rosa had informed him about Saif-Kareena’s close relationship . Sources claim that he has been extremely depressed since then.
Shahid and Kareena have done several films together in the past too, but none of their films have managed to make it to the hit mark. However Shahid is hoping that the film Jab We Met will change that and also perhaps Kareena’s mind about their relationship. Kareena and Shahid have never hidden their relationship and have even appeared together on Koffee with Karan. Sometime back when the couple was shooting for Jab We Met in Manali, Kareena’s sis Karisma and her little daughter Samaira would often drop in on the sets. Karisma was very cheerful and positive on the sets and even prayed for the success of the film.
