Apart from films and Priyanka Chopra, charming boy Shahid Kapur has got another reason to smile. He will be conferred with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi award at an award ceremony to be held in Mumbai in the second week of August. Shahid Kapur is very humbled with the announcement.
"I was pleasantly surprised to get the news about my being chosen for the prestigious award. I am only 28 years old and it's really early in my career. I feel humbled and honoured to be chosen by the jury," said Shahid.
In the past few years, Shahid has delivered number of hits and the last being ‘Jab We Met’. Eminent personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Mukesh Ambani, Sunita Williams, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan were also the recipient of the award.
Shahid has three films lined up for release such as Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminey" opposite Priyanka Chopra, Aditya Chopra's "Dil Bole Hadippa" opposite Rani Mukherjee and a Ken Ghosh movie opposite Genelia D'Souza.
