Shahid Kapoor to attend ‘satsang’ with wife, daughter on 37th birthday

Shahid Kapoor has decided to ring in his birthday in a different way. The actor who will be turning 37 on next Sunday, 25th February will not throw any bash this year instead he will be attending ‘Satsang’ with his family in Beas, the river-town near Amritsar.

The ‘Padmaavat’ actor will be attending the satsang with family (wife Mira Rajput, daughter Misha and parents-in-law, Vikramaditya and Bela). The satsang is by the Radha Soami sect, the spiritual group who introduced Shahid and Mira’s family.

In a statement to Mumbai Mirror, a source close to the couple, said, “Shahid and Mira missed Valentine’s Day and the actor wanted to keep up with the annual tradition of celebrating birthdays with satsangs and a visit to Beas.”

On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ which is slated to release on August 31, 2018. The film also features Yami Gautam in lead role and will be bankrolled by Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment and Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series.
