Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor decided to make his father’s birthday this year a really memorable one. Shahid’s father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor turned 60 on 29th May. To celebrate the occasion Shahid organized a party at a nightclub, Villa 69 in Juhu, Mumbai. The party was great but the ‘cherry on the cake’ was the gift that Shahid gave his father, a brand new, luxurious Mercedes SUV car. When asked, Pankaj Kapoor confirmed the news, "Yes, it's true that my son has gifted me a car. I am happy that my family came together to celebrate my birthday in a big way. It was great to be in the loving company of my family and friends."
Other members of the family, Pankaj Kapoor’s wife and actor Supriya Pathak, his other two children Ruhaan Kapoor and Sana Kapur was also present. If Shahid went for the quality of the gift, Pankaj’s wife Supriya took care of the quantity by gifting him a large number of items. Naturally the actor was very happy and said, "I don't what to reveal what these things are, but I can tell you that she gave me everything I could have asked for. I got a total of 153 gifts from her." The guest list of the party was also quite impressive with many of Shahid’s friends and industry colleagues attending the occasion. Some of the notable faces who were present included, Shahid’s alleged ex-girlfriend Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, directors Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Sudhir Mishra.
