Shahid, Genelia, Imran, Avantika at 'R..Rajkumar' success bash

The success party of Prabhudeva’s film, R...Rajkumar saw a lot of the Bollywood film fraternity gracing the event. Although the film was received poorly by critics, it is doing well at the box office. The film starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha earned Rs. 47 Crore in its first week which led to the success party thrown by a beaming Prabhudeva.

The party was attended by Imran Khan and his wife, Avantika, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh etc. Anurag Kashyap was spotted at the bash. He is known to be currently directing a film titled ‘Bombay Velvet’. Sonakshi looked chic in her trendy geek glasses and monochrome dress while a visibly happy Shahid was seen having fun, it being his first hit of the year. Looking cool in a Tshirt and denims, he sported a beard and was all smiles. Vishal Bhardwaj looked dashing in black at the event. He is known to be presently shoting for his next film ‘Haider’ with Shahid Kapoor. Vikramaditya Motwane of ‘Lootera’ fame arrived at the event with his wife Ishika.Ayan Mukherji, Ashutosh Gowariker and wife were seen having a good time.

If the songs of the film ‘R...Rajkumar’ have made the film a hit, it is evident Pritam had to be present at the success bash. And yes, he was, looking at home in his black shirt and jeans. Preity Zinta was seen in a neon orange Surily Goel top and her hand in a sling. We hope she gets well soon. Aamir Khan’s wife, Kiran Rao was seen in a cool black avatar, enjoying the party. Sunil and Krishika Lulla of Eros entertainment graced the event together and posed for photographs. Producer of ‘R...Rajkumar’ was caught unawares by the media as he entered the venue. Nevertheless, he looked happy with the film’s success.

Directors and producers of Shahid’s former movies were also seen at the event to wish him well. They included ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ director Rajkumar Santoshi, Parmeet Sethi and wife Archana Puran Singh, producers of the film ‘Badmaash Company’.

‘R... Rajkumar’ was panned by critics citing poor storyline and shoddy dialogues. Shubhra Gupta of the Indian Express gave the film 0 out of 5 stars saying, ‘It is nothing but blank putrid noise. R...for rubbish. Zero star.’ Surprisingly, for its action masala content, the film lured the audience into theatres, making it a hit at the box office in its opening week.
