Second ‘PK’ poster to come out on 15th August

<PK>While he may act in only film every year, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan knows how to make the most of it. ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ has his film ‘PK’ releasing on 19th December. The first poster from the film was revealed days ago and it has since then created quite a buzz. The poster shows Aamir Khan standing on a railway track, fully naked with only a cassette player hiding his modesty.

The poster has gone viral on social media, leading to countless jokes and memes. But it has achieved its purpose that is of making people feel interested about the film. Now the makers are planning to keep up the buzz with a second poster. The second poster of the film will be released on 15th August. The second poster too is expected to be quite quirky and eye catching. Creative work on the poster is currently on. There were also reports that the trailer of the film may be released along with ‘Singham Returns’ that is coming to the theaters on 15th August.

Meanwhile a source close to the director Rajkumar Hirani has revealed the events leading to the release of the first poster. He said, "Initially, Aamir wanted to release the first look of the film on July 24, a day before Kick released. But that would mean entering Salman's space, where the film was highly anticipated as well. So the plans were then dropped."

The source has further informed that the trailer may not be released on Independence Day (15th August) because the trailer of Shahrukh Khan’s diwali release ‘Happy New Year’ is also coming out on that day. The source said, "Raju (Hirani) told Aamir that releasing the first look on a day when Ajay's film would release, along with Shah Rukh's promo, would lead to P.K.'s first look being overshadowed. Aamir took note of Raju's point and dropped the idea.”

In the meanwhile Aamir Khan has come out to defend the display of nudity on the poster of ‘PK’. He said, "This is not for publicity, not for us atleast. Infact, this poster embibes all the elements of the film.” He also added that the idea behind the poster will be cleared to the audience once they see the film. Aamir said, “When you (audience) will watch the film then only you will be able to understand the idea behind (the poster). But I would just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present the things, his thinking, in a unique way and that`s why I am his huge fan.”
