In 2015, Media management firm Ad Bureau Advertising Private Limited had lodged a complaint with Bengaluru against Rajinkanth’s wife Latha stating that she had procured an amount of Rs 10 crore from them promising them the rights of Rajinikanth’s 'Kochadaiyaan'. But she did not keep her word and finally sold the right to Eros International.
However, Latha Rajinikanth appealed in the court and after accepting her arguments over the matter, the court dismissed the issue.
In the meantime, an appeal was filed by Ad Bureau with Supreme Court. The case has now come up and the Judge issued notice to Latha Rajinikanth seeking reply within four weeks.
‘Kochadaiyaan’ was India’s first photorealistic motion capture film, directed by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin. Deepika Padukone played the heroine. The movie was released on May 23, 2014.
