Sara Khan’s car upturned to save a dog

Actress Sara Khan, who made her debut in Small screen with ‘Sapna Babul Ka….Bidaii’, met with minor injuries as her car collided with a road divider.

The actress, along with her four friends, was returning late night from a birthday party. Sara’s car was driven by a friend. He was dropping friends home. Near Oshiwara mall, the car upturned, turning turtle. The driver alleged that he was trying to avoid a street dog when he lost balance. The incident took place on Friday late night.

According to the police, the car was speeding when it lost balance and collided with road divider in front of Oshiwara Mega Mall in Andheri.

“They sustained minor bruises and injury on their limbs. It seems that driver might have been under the influence of alcohol but the preliminary medical report suggested that the person driving had not consumed alcohol,” said a police officer. 

The police has arrested 23 years old Paras Vijay Kumar Chhabra. He was driving the car. He has been registered for negligent and rash driving. However, Paras was not drunk at the time of driving. He was driving Maruti Suzuki SX4.

B Mukhedkar, Inspector of Oshiwara Police station said, “Before the police reached the spot, Sara Khan and the others have left the scene. Only Chhabra was there and it appears to be a very minor incident.”

Sara told reporters, “We were returning to Kandivali from the birthday party of actor Pratyusha Banerjee and Chabra was behind the wheel. Suddenly a dog appeared on our way and to save the animal, Chabra, who is from Delhi and not familiar with Mumbai roads, swerved the car to the right.”

She further added, “I was on the front seat and briefly fell unconscious after the accident.”

Sara Khan has appeared in a number of shows on TV. Sara was one of the contestants at popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ in season 4. Apart from small screen, Sara will also be seen in two Bollywood movies viz. ‘Dark Rainbow’ and ‘Aman Ki Asha’. Both the movies are expected to be released in 2014.

On television, she has acted in ‘Ram Milaye Jodi’, ‘V the Serial’ and ‘Junoon’. In serial ‘Bidaii’, her character name was ‘Sadhana’. In 2008 and 2009, she won a number of television awards for her role as ‘Sadhana’.

Sara Khan was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 6th August 1989.
