Bhansali's apartment catches on fire

Sanjay Leela Bhansali at filmfare 2006On Sunday afternoon, fire broke out extensively at filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Magnum Opus apartment on Juhu-Versova link road.  Bhansali resides with his mother at the fourth floor and fire caught on at the third floor. The fire would have taken the life of many people and damaged large property if actor Aditya Pancholi, who lives on the lower floor didn't notice it.

Aditya saw the smoke when he arrived from Dubai and was taking out his cds from his car. Panchali took instant action and called the fire extinguisher. To God’s grace, fire was extinguished immediately and no life was harmed. "It could have been much worse if Aditya Pancholi, who lives on the lower floor, hadn't seen the fire in our neighbor’s house. He raised an alarm and acted swiftly to help extinguish the fire," says a member of the Bhansali household with a tremble.

The residents of the third floor did not know how their bedroom caught fire but they were really heartbroken with the incident. Aditya reacted immediately to the situation and cut off the electricity lines of his house and put out the gas pipes. At that time, his wife Zarina was out of the station.
