Sanjay Dutt and Urmila together in Easy Monthly Installments
Sanjay Dutt has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the 1992-93 bomb blasts case. After his release from prison, Sanju baba then went off on a trip to Goa with his ladylove Maanya to relax and rejuvenate. Now he's back to shooting on the sets for his film Easy Monthly Installments (EMI) along with Urmila Matondkar. Sanju baba will also be heard singing a song in the film.
Sanjay Dutt is back to shooting and is pretty excited to do good friend Suniel Shetty's home production titled EMI . The film is about the serious issue of loans and its recovery process but which is dealt with in a light hearted manner. Sanjay Dutt plays the character of Sattar Bhai who is a recovery agent. The film also stars Urmila Matondkar opposite Sanjay Dutt and they had earlier even shot a promotional video together for the film. Urmila is quiet excited about the film and her role in it. Urmila says "I never knew a social problem could be dealt with so delightfully. I love the spirit of the character I'm playing." About working with Dutt again, she says "It's always a pleasure working with him. He's wonderful company both on and off-screen."
Sanjay Dutt will also be heard singing a song in the film and this is not the first time that he will be doing so. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Malaika Arora Khan and she will be seen enacting a longer role this time round. Malaika will be seen in more than an item song for this film, in fact she will be doing her first full length role in the film. Malaika confirmed the news saying "Arjun had a word with me and I realized that it was a great role." The film is being produced by Suniel Shetty's home production Popkorn Entertainment and directed by Saurabh Kabra. Sanjay Dutt has also started his own home production titled Sanjay Dutt Productions and along with producing he may also act in a few of his home productions. Sanjay Dutt has also supposedly turned down filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj's film which also stars Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor who were also seen in his last film Omkara which received appreciation. Sanju has claimed that he does not have the available dates for Bharadwaj's film, however sources claim that he turned down the film as he was not too happy with the script.
Since his sentencing and imprisonment, Sanju baba has always been kind and forthcoming towards the media. However recently he lashed out at the media claiming that they were harassing him every single moment. Nonetheless Sanju still continues to be forthcoming towards the media and recently even gave his first interview about the time he spent in jail. Sanju said "Diwali was a really sad moment of my life, that I couldn't be with the family and I was locked up and I could see crackers bursting. I prayed and I meditated. I thought of Dad and I thought of Mom." Sanju also claimed that the positive aspect of being in jail was that he was able to establish a connection with God.
