Salman receives wishes from Amitabh Bachchan
Salman Khan recently completed 25 glorious years in the film industry. It is an achievement in itself. He not only survived in the cut throat competition of the industry but he also excelled and is standing today among the top actors of Bollywood.
Amitabh Bachchan congratulated Salman Khan on his completion of 25 years in film industry. Amitabh Bachchan was at the press conference of small screen’s mega game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. There he acknowledged the achievement of Dabangg 2Khan and said, “My best wishes to him. 25 years in Bollywood is not a small thing. Today he is one of the top male actors in the industry. So congratulations to him.”
Mr.Bachchan and Salman Khan have shared screen space in a few movies like ‘Baghban’, ‘Baabul’ and ‘God Tussi Great Ho’. Both the stars maintain a cordial relationship despite Salman’s ex girlfriend getting married to Amitabh’s son and actor Abhishek Bachchan.
Salman Khan was born as Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan on 27th December, 1965. Apart from acting in movies, he has also produced a few movies and has also been the host of reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’. He debuted in Bollywood in 1988 with ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’. In 1989, he acted in Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’. This film became one of India highest grossing movies and Salman received Filmfare award for best male debut. He also acted in ‘Saajan’ with Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit. The film turned out to be a hit. 1992-93 was not good for him as the year saw a series of Salman’s flop movies.
In 1994, Salman again joined hands with Sooraj Barjatya and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ was released. Madhuri was his co star in this movie. The movie became biggest Bollywood hit of the year. The movie received 3 awards at Filmfare and a National award. The year from 1995 to 2008 saw most of his hit movies and a few box office failures. The flops turned out more towards the later years.
In 2009, Salman made a huge come back with ‘Wanted’. In 2010, ‘Dabangg’ was released. Then ‘Ready’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ were released in subsequent years. All the movies turned out to be big hits. His last movie was ‘Dabangg 2’ released in 2012. This movie was also a huge success at the box office. He is now geared up for three releases in 2014. Salman has also been associated with a number of brand endorsements. He is also a philanthropist and runs an NGO ‘Being Human’.
